There are many things to do on and around the estate itself.
Fishing
In one of our 3 fully stocked lochs for coarse and
game fish or try your hand at salmon fishing on the river Tarf. Boat fishing is
available on Black Loch.
Walking
The Galloway Hills provide a pleasant variety of
Forest and Hill walks. Around the estate can be found walks to suit all
abilities. Circling the estate they take in some stunning scenery. Galloway
Forest Park offers many outdoor activities and events.
Mountain Biking
Great Fun for all the family. Follow the
Forestry Commission marked tracks, suitable for all ages. We have adults and
childrens bikes for hire with helmets too... The 7 Stanes offers some of the
best biking trails in the UK, the nearest being at Glentrool and Kirroughtree
only 10 miles away.
Wildlife
From one of the nature hides around the park,
experience watching, up close, the activities of squirrels, sand martins or
spotting the many and varied species of birds that visit the lochs - you may be
lucky enough to glimpse the elusive osprey that visit throughout the summer to
breed.
Local Visits
Bladnoch Distillery offers guided tours round
Scotland's most southerly whisky distillery, and has a well-stocked shop.
Creetown Gemrock Museum has a fascinating collection of gems, rocks and minerals
from around the world, with a gift shop. Wigtown Book Town - each year Wigtown
hosts its famous literary event attracting many well known literary and
television personalities. Cream of Galloway adventure park where you can even
help make your own ice cream! For visitors interested in the arts and crafts
movement Kirkcudbright is well worth a visit. This town offers local and
national artists a platform for their works with its many galleries and guided
tours.

Airgun & Archery ranges
Try your hand at target
practice with air guns and bow and arrow. Tuition is available for all ages.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
Now available for the 2010 season.
For the Adventurous
Deer stalking, camera stalking, rough
shooting and full-bore rifle training. Available on the park are DMQ Level 1
& Level 2 training courses. During the off-peak season we will be playing
host to shooters and stalkers who will be able to book all of our facilities.
